For Spring 2012, Genetic Denim nods to its roots by updating the very qualities it was founded on and has come to be synonymous with: fit, fabrication and individuality. Creative Director, Ali Fatourechi, delivers designs that remain true to his original denim customer, while simultaneously reflecting an innovative approach to the fabrication for future generations of denim aficionados. 

This season, Genetic Denim is excited to introduce “The Shane,” a superskinny, faux-front, cigarette women’s jean favored among Hollywood sirens, in a new and exclusive Silk Denim fabrication. The soft hand of the silk spandex blend lends to an unparalleled comfort, without sacrificing the look of denim.  

The new Silk Denim fabrication is significantly lighter and more flexible than its denim predecessors, yet follows the contours of one’s body, maintaining the recovery and sophisticated fit that Genetic Denim is known and loved for. “The Shane” is available as a full-length or cropped cigarette in six different washes, ranging from neon hues, to neutrals and classic denim washes.

The spring 2012 collection has a jean for everyone and offers the latest trends and styles in product categories that include women’s jeans, men’s jeans, denim shorts and hot pants.

Since the beginning, our fabrics have been Genetic Denim’s distinguishing characteristic. Each season we focus on developing innovative fabrications that will make women feel and look great. Genetic Denim’s Creative Director, Ali Fatourechi, uses groundbreaking techniques to produce new denim fabrics that bring a freshness and uniqueness to his denim unlike anything else on the market. Genetic Denim, in Spring 2012, introduced Silk Denim, a new denim fabrication that will take the denim industry by storm. The new Silk Denim fabrication is significantly lighter and more flexible than its denim predecessors, yet follows the contours of one’s body, maintaining the recovery and sophisticated of Genetic Denim.

Genetic Denim is known for incorporating various fabrications, such as twill, moleskin faux leather, suede and jacquard into its denim design. According to Ali Fatourechi, “Fabric innovation is critical in producing the best jeans on the market.   The Genetic Denim customer is looking for sexy jeans that they can wear day to night and for everything in between. At Genetic Denim, we strive to design not only the best fitting jeans but the most comfortable jeans.” Genetic Denim continues to be a leader in fabric innovation in the denim market.

Fall 2011 marks the second installment of "Genetic Visionaries", a series of capsule collections created in partnership with diverse group of stylish creatives, with the release of the collaboration between Genetic Denim and celebrity stylist and interior designer Estee Stanley. "Genetic Visionaries Series 2: Estee" is a collection inspired by cinematic females from cult classics, such as Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, La Femme Nikita and V for Vendetta.

Why Estee Stanley? Aside from her killer style, Genetic's creative director, Ali Fatourechi, knew her sensibility for women's evolving tastes would translate perfectly with his medium of choice. "Denim is already embedded in a woman's wardrobe, so I partner with creative visionaries in the industry to work it into fashion in fresh and chic ways," Fatourechi explains. "As a top celebrity stylist, Estee's point of view is directional, yet relatable; her approach to denim is equally undiluted, and her aesthetic will resonate with customers looking for new and wearable styles."

The result? A combination of feminine silhouettes with antique nickel finished metal spikes, to blur the line between beautiful and tough, all created with Genetic's signature soft, comfortable and quality denim. See below:

"The Bride", inspired by the character from Kill Bill and her take-no-prisoners approach to settling the score.

The jacket, "Nikita", represents this iconic character's transformation into La Femme Nikita.

The cuff trouser, "Mia" nods to the character from Pulp Fiction as she is depicted during the famous dance scene with "Vincent Vega".

This slim and sleek bell, "Evey", with its subtle spike embellishment is inspired by the balance between the old and new versions of its namesake character in V for Vendetta.

This collection retails between $260 and $330 and is available at select retailers in store, online and via GeneticDenim.com.

Summer may not be over yet, but our Fall 2011 collection is already on it's way from us to you. This season is full of Genetic classics, for both men and women, in cool, updated washes, plus includes a ton of new additions to satisfy your awesome and evolving style. We're also proud to present two design collaborations as a part of the Genetic Visionaries Series, with stylist and retailer Nevena Borissova and stylist-slash-interior designer Estee Stanley (more on this soon).
